What is an eSIM?
An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone. Instead of inserting a plastic card, you scan a QR code and the plan downloads over the air.
How do I pay with Lightning?
Tap Pay with Lightning on any plan and we instantly show a Lightning invoice QR code. Scan it with a Lightning wallet such as Phoenix, Wallet of Satoshi, Strike, Cash App or Breez. Payment confirms in seconds and your eSIM shows up on the same page.
Can I pay on-chain instead?
Yes. Open other payment options, choose "On-chain" and send the exact BTC amount shown. On-chain payments need a network confirmation, which usually takes 10 to 60 minutes.
How do I add more data?
Open the order link you saved after buying (or go to Top up and paste it) and tap a top-up amount. The Lightning invoice appears straight away and the data is added to the same eSIM. Nothing to type.
Do I need to give my email?
No. You can add an email for a receipt if you like, but it's optional and never needed to pay. Your order link is your receipt, so bookmark it.
When does my plan start?
The validity period begins when the eSIM first connects to a supported network, not when you buy it.
Will I keep my phone number?
Yes. Zap eSIM plans are data-only and sit alongside your existing SIM, so your number keeps working for calls and texts.
Can I use it as a hotspot?
Yes, tethering and hotspot are allowed on all plans.
